Loose complaints can be alleviated by changing the diet. Psoriasis is a chronic disease that is still untreated. It cannot be infected. It consists in excessive and abnormal peeling of the epidermis.


Caution! For healthy people it takes 24 days. At this time, older epidermis cells replace younger cells and in patients with psoriasis it is only 4 days.  Old cells do not keep up with exfoliating, the epidermis thickens, forming silvery scales and lumps on the skin surface, which does not look aesthetically pleasing and, in addition, itches.  Ointments, illumination and occasionally oral drugs are necessary.
An important part of the treatment is also an appropriate diet. In fact, there is no special diet for psoriasis to cure the disease. However, what you put on the plate can support the therapy, alleviating annoying ailments.

Anti psoriasis diet

The anti psoriasis diet should be based mainly on fresh and processed products: vegetables, fruit, seeds and grains.
Caution! Avoid fatty meat, especially pork and sausages and excessive amounts of fatty dairy products, which can significantly increase the ailments. Lean meat (ingots, chicken, rabbit) and fish are better.
Excludes sunflower and soybean oil and hard margarine, which have a lot of omega-6 fatty acids, which can exacerbate skin changes.  Also unfavourable for psoriatic skin are peanuts, ready-made instant dishes, fast-food, candies, ready-made confectionery, chips and other salty snacks, also sunflower seeds.

Some people do not use tomatoes, strawberries, oranges and pineapples because they promote histamine production in the body, and it is this one that causes itching, which is the main problem of psoriasis patients.

Acute spices, coffee, chocolate and alcohol are also not recommended - they may intensify skin lesions. It is worthwhile to drink 1.5-2 litres of unsweet liquids a day. In addition, linseed, green and orange vegetables, nuts, pumpkin seeds and dark berries should often appear on the menu.

They are distinguished by their high vitamin E content, which nourishes, regenerates and moisturizes the skin, relieving symptoms of the disease. In the psoriatic diet, eat a handful (30 g) of nuts per day.

They are a rich source of antioxidants. They vomit harmful free radicals, which initiate and maintain inflammatory states, like brooms.

What to eat with psoriasis: pumpkin seeds

They are a treasurehouse of vitamins and minerals, e. g. zinc, which accelerates healing of damaged skin, has anti-inflammatory effect, reduces histamine secretion causing itching.

What to eat with psoriasis: carrots

A rich source of beta-carotene, which reduces epidermis keratosis and provides proper skin hydration. To take full advantage of the anti-fatty effects of carrots, eat them raw.

What to eat with psoriasis: kale

It contains substances with cleansing and anti-inflammatory effect, e. g. Vitamin C. Green leaves also have a lot of B vitamins and folic acid, and these also affect blood circulation and skin condition.

What to eat with psoriasis: linseed

Supply omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce redness around psoriatic lesions and epidermis hardening. This makes the skin more elastic.
