Diet in diseases of the pancreas and biliary tract
The diet should contain a normal amount of calories provided for the population, but the reduction of fat, while increasing the intake of carbohydrates.
Note! Meals should be eaten five times a day, with a moderate volume (without overeating). An important part of the diet is the amount of fat, and also a form of preparing a meal, which is digested by pancreatic juice.
The best method of preparing food is steaming, braising without frying, roasting in foil or parchment. The best ratio of essential nutrients in the daily ration should be:
- Protein - 65-90 g fat - 40-50 g carbohydrates - 345 g.
Note! The amount of fiber in the diet is dependent on individual tolerance. The diet should not miss high content of vitamins C and E.
